Cell phone radiation potentially has health implications that we need to look at. There are two major types of radiation. Ionizing radiation (such as from X rays) has been linked to cancer and cell damage. Non-ionizing radiation, from radar, microwave ovens, cell phones and other sources, has not been linked to cancer, but can heat up and damage tissues. Watch this video now to find out if your cell phone is cooking your brain cells.

Are Cell Phones Harmful to Your Health?

Hi! I’m Dr William Norlin. I’m your Mpls/St. Paul Chiropractor and your source of everything health. I found a great article that looks at the health implications of cell phone radiation that I’d like to share with you. There are two major types of radiation:

Ionizing radiation (such as from X rays) has been linked to cancer and cell damage.

Non-ionizing radiation, from radar, microwave ovens, cell phones and other sources, has not been linked to cancer, but can heat up and damage tissues.

And by the way, stick with me thru this video to the end, and I’ll direct you to a source for other great articles about health related topics.

Cell phones produce non-ionizing radiation to send messages to distant towers.

Studies show non-ionizing radiation does heat up tissue, like microwave ovens cook food but not significantly.

Although cell phones do not heat up your brain significantly, as a precaution you should:

Keep your phone’s antenna more than two inches away from your skin when you are making a call.

Use the speaker phone or a blue tooth or wired ear piece.

When sleeping, keep the cell phone away from your bed.
