Breast Cancer Survival Improves With Healthful Lifestyles
Hi! I’m Dr William Norlin. I’m your Mpls/St. Paul Chiropractor and your source of everything health. I found a great article that I’d like to share with you about the impact a healthy lifestyle has on breast cancer survival. If you have any questions about this information, or anything else that is a health goal or challenge for you or someone you may know, feel free to me a call at 612 724-4647. OK! Let’s get started!
Almost 25% of women diagnosed with breast cancer will eventually die of that disease.
Research now supports how a healthful lifestyle can influence the chances of prolonging life once diagnosed with breast cancer.
And by the way, stick with me through this video to the end, and I’ll direct you to a source for other great articles about health related topics.
Some lifestyle factors associated with an increased risk for breast cancer include:
• excess body fat, particularly in the belly
• weight gain, particularly in middle age
• lack of exercise
• alcohol in any amount
• high intake of dietary fat and mammal meat
• not having breast-fed
• night-shift work
Thankfully, survival rates after being diagnosed with breast cancer have improved by:
• losing excess body fat
• reducing high blood pressure, high blood sugars and high triglycerides, and raising HDL cholesterol
• daily exercise
• getting enough vitamin D.
• avoiding alcohol.
• avoiding smoking and being around smokers.
By living a healthy lifestyle, which includes a nutritious diet of organic fruits and vegetables and daily exercise can change your life for the better!
