Almost 25% of women diagnosed with breast cancer will eventually die of that disease.

Research now supports how a healthful lifestyle can influence the chances of prolonging life once diagnosed with breast cancer.

Some lifestyle factors associated with an increased risk for breast cancer include:
• excess body fat, particularly in the belly
• weight gain, particularly in middle age
• lack of exercise
• smoking
• alcohol in any amount
• high intake of dietary fat and mammal meat
• not having breast-fed
• night-shift work

Thankfully, survival rates after being diagnosed with breast cancer have improved by:
• losing excess body fat
• reducing high blood pressure, high blood sugars and high triglycerides, and raising HDL cholesterol
• daily exercise
• getting enough vitamin D.
• avoiding alcohol.
• avoiding smoking and being around smokers.

By living a healthy lifestyle, which includes a nutritious diet of organic fruits and vegetables and daily exercise can change your life for the better!
