A number of scientific studies suggest physical exercise can meaningfully improve your cognitive abilities, from childhood through old age.

One study found that children who regularly exercised showed improvements in executive functions and cognitive scores.
A study focusing on older adults experiencing a mild degree of cognitive impairment found resistance and aerobic training improved their spatial memory and verbal memory.

What is the right dose of exercise for the brain?
According to finding from a study conducted by The University of Kansas Alzheimer’s Disease Center, small doses of exercise, such as a brisk walk for 20 or 25 minutes several times a week, could lead to cognitive improvements.
A healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise and a diet rich in organic fruits, vegetables and whole grains is the best dose of medicine for a happy and healthy life.
